- Description: Monoclonal rat IgG1, kappa antibody useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.
- Applications Reported: Suitable for immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry, flow cytometry, and ELISA.
- Applications Tested: Validated in flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocyte suspensions; use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.
- Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
Rat IgG1 is a subclass of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies produced by rats in response to antigens. Commonly used as a negative control in research experiments, it does not bind to most mammalian antigens. Applications include immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and western blotting. Rat IgG1 antibodies are also useful in gene targeting studies to explore gene function and disease mechanisms.
