Product Specific Information

Description:
The monoclonal antibody 1A8-Ly6g reacts with mouse Ly-6G (Gr-1), a 25-kDa GPI protein expressed exclusively by neutrophils. Ly-6G is involved in neutrophil infiltration, recruitment, and migration, associating with β2 integrins CD11a and CD11b. Unlike RB6-8C5, 1A8-Ly6g binds specifically to Ly-6G on neutrophils and has been used for neutrophil depletion and functional studies.

Applications Reported:

• Flow cytometric analysis of mouse bone marrow cells
• Recommended ≤ 0.5 µg/test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test)
• Optimize by titration for best performance

Fluorochrome Information:
Super Bright 436 is excited with the violet laser (405 nm) and emits at 436 nm. A 450/50 bandpass filter or equivalent is recommended.
When using multiple Super Bright-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific interactions.

Target Information

Ly6G (Lymphocyte antigen 6 complex locus G6D):
A component of the myeloid differentiation antigen Gr-1, expressed by bone marrow-derived myeloid cells. Ly6G (21–25 kDa) is a marker for neutrophils, monocytes, and granulocytes. Expression correlates with granulocyte differentiation and maturation. Ly6G is implicated in anti-tumor responses and may modulate local immune activity through inhibitory signaling.
