Rat anti-Mouse TREM-1 antibody, clone L5-B8.2A12.3A12 recognizes mouse triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells 1 (TREM-1), a 30 kDa member of the immunoglobulin superfamily expressed on neutrophils and a subset of monocytes.
Target Information
TREM1 (triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells 1) is a receptor of the Ig superfamily that amplifies neutrophil and monocyte-mediated inflammatory responses triggered by bacterial and fungal infections. It promotes release of pro-inflammatory chemokines and cytokines and increases surface expression of activation markers. TREM1 and related proteins such as TREM2 modulate inflammatory responses and have been linked to inflammatory bowel disease, enhancing production of TNF, IL-6, IL-8, and MCP-1.
