Target Information
TLR7 is a highly conserved membrane protein of the Toll-like receptor (TLR) family, containing 27 leucine-rich repeats (LRR) and a TIR domain. It plays a key role in pathogen recognition and activation of innate immunity. TLR7 is activated by single-stranded RNA viruses such as influenza and vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV). It is predominantly expressed in lung, placenta, and spleen, and is closely related to TLR8. Through MyD88 and TRAF6 pathways, TLR7 activation leads to NF-κB activation, cytokine secretion, and inflammatory responses. It recognizes pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) to mediate cytokine production essential for effective immunity.
