Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
TRPM8 is a receptor-activated non-selective cation channel involved in the detection of cool sensations (activated below 25°C). It responds to icilin, eucalyptol, menthol, cold, and intracellular pH modulation.
TRPM8 is permeable to Na⁺, K⁺, Cs⁺, and Ca²⁺ ions. Expression is mainly found in prostate epithelial cells, with elevated levels in prostate cancer. TRPM8 mRNA is also detected in tumors of breast, colon, lung, and skin origin, but rarely in corresponding normal tissues.
