Product Specific Information
- In sandwich ELISAs, less than 0.3% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse AMICA, recombinant human JAM-A, JAM-B, and JAM-C is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
AMICA is a transmembrane protein located on the plasma membrane of leukocytes, controlling their migration and activation through interaction with CXADR, a receptor on epithelial and endothelial cells.
This interaction mediates activation of gamma-delta T-cells, which are involved in tissue homeostasis and repair.
Upon CXADR binding, JAML triggers downstream signaling via PI3-kinase and MAP kinases, leading to T-cell proliferation and cytokine production that promote epithelial tissue repair.
It also regulates leukocyte transmigration through adhesive interactions with epithelial and endothelial CXADR.
