This antibody detects endogenous GCP5 protein at a molecular weight of approximately 118 kDa.

Target Information
The gamma-Tubulin complex is composed of gamma Tubulin and associated proteins GCP2–GCP6, which are essential components of microtubule organizing centers. These components localize to the centrosome and the cytoplasm, contributing to microtubule nucleation and organization.
GCP5 (gamma-Tubulin complex component 5, also known as TUBGCP5) is a 1,024 amino acid protein highly expressed in heart and skeletal muscle.
Defects in GCP5 are implicated in Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS), a rare genetic disorder associated with obesity, compulsive behavior, and lower intellectual ability.
