Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, it is recommended to perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Mammalian mitochondrial ribosomal proteins are encoded by nuclear genes and are essential for protein synthesis within mitochondria.
Mitochondrial ribosomes (mitoribosomes) consist of a small 28S subunit and a large 39S subunit, with approximately 75% protein to rRNA composition, opposite to that of prokaryotic ribosomes.
Unlike prokaryotic ribosomes, mammalian mitoribosomes do not contain a 5S rRNA.
The MRPS11 gene encodes a 28S subunit protein similar to ribosomal protein S11P family members.
A pseudogene is located on chromosome 20, and multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
