- ~40% identity with Neuroligin-2
1 µg/mL of MA5-45698 detects Neuroligin 3 in 20 µg of rat brain lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as secondary antibody.
Detects approximately 110 kDa.
Does not cross-react with Neuroligin-1, -2, -4, or -4.
This antibody was formerly sold as clone S110-29.
Target Information
This gene encodes a neuronal cell surface protein belonging to the neuroligin family. These proteins may act as splice site-specific ligands for beta-neurexins and play roles in the formation and remodeling of central nervous system synapses.
Mutations in this gene are associated with autism and Asperger syndrome. Multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified.
