Product Specific Information
In direct ELISAs, less than 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant human (rh) CHST1, rhCHST2, rmCHST5, and rmCHST7 is observed.
Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
The CHST5 gene encodes an enzyme that catalyzes the transfer of a sulfate group to GlcNAc residues of keratan. Keratan sulfate helps maintain corneal transparency.
Defects in this gene are associated with macular corneal dystrophy (MCD).
