Target Information
TGF-beta-activated kinase 1 and MAP3K7-binding protein 1 (TAB1) regulates MAP3K7/TAK1-mediated signaling pathways, including those induced by TGF beta, interleukin 1, and WNT-1. TAB1 activates TAK1 kinase through interaction with its C-terminal portion, while the N-terminal region may inhibit TGF beta signaling. It can also activate MAPK14/p38α, providing an alternative activation pathway contributing to MAPK14 responses.
