Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
SLC22A12 is required for efficient urate reabsorption in the kidney and regulates blood urate levels. It mediates saturable urate uptake by facilitating the exchange of urate against organic anions. The encoded protein is a urate transporter and urate-anion exchanger, primarily found in the kidney. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene.
