• Description: Monoclonal rat IgG1 kappa isotype control immunoglobulin.
• Applications Reported: Suitable for flow cytometric analysis.
• Applications Tested: Tested on human peripheral blood and mouse splenocytes; use at the same concentration as experimental antibody.
• Fluorochrome: Brilliant Violet™ 605 (BV605) is a tandem dye emitting at 605 nm, for use with a violet (405 nm) laser.
• Compatibility: Ensure instrument supports BV605 detection.
• Buffer Recommendation: Use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75) when combining multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies to reduce non-specific interactions.
• Light Sensitivity: Protect from light to prevent photo-induced oxidation.
• Fixation: Compatible with IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333-54). Store fixed samples up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark. Not compatible with methanol-based fixation.
• Excitation/Emission: 407 nm / 605 nm (Violet Laser).

Target Information

Rat IgG1 is a subclass of immunoglobulin G (IgG) commonly used in research and diagnostics. Produced by rats in response to antigens, it is often used as a negative control due to minimal binding to mammalian antigens. Applications include immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and western blotting. It is also utilized in gene targeting studies for disease modeling.
