Target Information
CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with two Ig-like domains. It is expressed on 100% of peripheral B cells and some myeloid leukemia cells. CD19 functions as a key regulator of B cell proliferation and differentiation, acting as a signal-amplifying coreceptor for the B cell receptor (BCR). Mutations in the CD19 gene can cause hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression leads to B cell hyperactivity.
