Description:
The YLI-90 monoclonal antibody reacts with the B6 mouse Ly-49I receptor. Ly49I is an inhibitory homodimer type II transmembrane protein containing an Immunoreceptor Tyrosine-based Inhibitory Motif (ITIM). YLI-90 binds to subpopulations of NK, NKT, and T cell lineages in the C57Bl/6 strain but does not bind to cells from BALB/c, SJL, or AKR/J mice.

Applications Reported:
YLI-90 has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of C57Bl/6 and BALB/c mouse splenocytes. Recommended usage ≤ 0.25 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Optimal antibody titration is advised.

Excitation / Emission:
488–561 nm excitation; 578 nm emission. Compatible with Blue, Green, and Yellow-Green lasers.

Filtration:
0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

Ly49 receptors exhibit allelic specificity for MHC class I Ia molecules and serve to prevent NK cells from attacking normal cells while allowing attack on infected or transformed cells with down-regulated class I molecules. These inhibitory receptors are also expressed on subpopulations of mouse CD8+ T cells.
