Adenylyl cyclase-associated protein 1 (CAP1) is an enzyme encoded by the CAP1 gene in humans, mapped to chromosome 1p34.2.
This protein is related to the S. cerevisiae CAP protein involved in the cyclic AMP pathway.
Human CAP1 interacts with itself, CAP2, and actin. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified.
