DNAJB7는 진화적으로 보존된 DNAJ/HSP40 단백질 계열에 속하며, ATPase 활성을 자극하여 분자 샤페론의 활성을 조절합니다.
DNAJ 단백질은 일반적으로 N-말단에 위치한 70 아미노산의 J 도메인, 글라이신/페닐알라닌(G/F)-풍부 영역, 그리고 아연 핑거 도메인과 유사한 4개의 모티프를 포함하는 시스테인-풍부 도메인을 가질 수 있습니다 (Ohtsuka and Hata, 2000).
