TRIM34은 tripartite motif (TRIM) 패밀리에 속하는 단백질로, RING, B-box type 1, B-box type 2, 그리고 coiled-coil 영역의 세 가지 zinc-binding 도메인을 포함합니다. 이 유전자는 인터페론에 의해 발현이 증가하며, 염색체 11p15의 TRIM 유전자 클러스터 내에 위치합니다. 대체 스플라이싱을 통해 네 가지 전사체 변이가 생성되며, TRIM6과의 read-through 전사체도 보고되었습니다.
