Mouse anti-Rat CD45 antibody, clone OX-1 recognizes CD45, also known as the leucocyte common antigen (LCA).
Target Information
CD45 (LCA, leukocyte common antigen) is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) expressed in all nucleated hematopoietic cells, comprising approximately 10% of all lymphocyte surface proteins.
It is absent in non-hematopoietic cell lines and tissues. CD45 plays a crucial role in lymphocyte development and antigen signaling, regulating Src-family kinases and cytokine receptor signaling through JAK suppression.
Multiple isoforms exist due to alternative splicing, differing in extracellular domains while sharing identical transmembrane and cytoplasmic domains.
CD45 is essential for T- and B-cell receptor signaling, integrin-mediated signal transduction, apoptosis regulation, and various immunological functions.
