Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
CD68 (Macrosialin) is a 110 kDa integral membrane glycoprotein mainly expressed in intracellular lysosomes of monocytes and macrophages. It is also found in dendritic cells and peripheral blood granulocytes. CD68 is implicated in phagocytic activities and lysosomal metabolism, as well as cell-cell and cell-pathogen interactions.
Expression is observed in interdigitating reticulum cells of the tonsil, histiocytic lymphoma, histiocytosis, acute myeloid leukemia (AML), and granulocytic sarcoma. Elevated CD68 expression has been reported on CD34+ cells in various human malignancies, including AML.
