Target Information
Transglutaminase (TGase)는 Ca²⁺ 의존적 단백질 교차결합 효소로, e-(γ-glutamyl) lysine 이소펩타이드 결합을 형성합니다. 포유류에서 8종의 TGase 아이소엔자임이 확인되었으며, 그중 tissue transglutaminase (tTGase, TGase 2)는 N-말단 β-sandwich, 촉매 코어, 두 개의 C-말단 β-barrel 도메인을 포함합니다. tTGase는 세포 사멸, 증식, 분화 및 수용체 매개 엔도사이토시스에 관여할 수 있습니다. 알츠하이머병 뇌에서는 tTGase 활성 증가로 인해 β-아밀로이드 전구 단백질, Ab 펩타이드, tau 단백질 등의 중합 및 신경섬유 엉킴 형성이 관찰됩니다.
