Target Information
The DUSP5 gene encodes a dual specificity phosphatase that dephosphorylates phosphoserine/threonine and phosphotyrosine residues, inactivating target kinases. It negatively regulates MAP kinases involved in cellular proliferation and differentiation. DUSP5 is expressed in various tissues, with highest levels in pancreas and brain, and is localized in the nucleus.
