• Reconstitute antibody with 50 µL of double distilled water (DDW).
• Store reconstituted solution at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C.
• Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
• Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

GCPR54 (also known as KISS1R) is a galanin-like G protein-coupled receptor that binds metastin, a peptide encoded by the metastasis suppressor gene KISS1.
It is involved in endocrine regulation and the onset of puberty.
Expression has been reported in human brain regions, placenta, pancreas, spinal cord, and at lower levels in spleen, blood leukocytes, testis, lymph node, thymus, small intestine, stomach, lung, and kidney.
The receptor is abundant in tumor tissues.
In rat, GPR54 is expressed in liver, intestine, and multiple brain regions including pons, midbrain, thalamus, hypothalamus, hippocampus, amygdala, cortex, and striatum.
ESTs have been isolated from normal placenta and kidney cancer libraries.
