MAP3K2 (MEKK2) is a serine/threonine kinase that activates kinases involved in the MAP kinase signaling pathway.
It directly phosphorylates and activates Ikappa B kinases, playing a role in NF-kappa B signaling.
MAP3K2 also binds and activates protein kinase C-related kinase 2, suggesting involvement in regulated signaling processes.
