Tenascin은 고분자량의 다기능 세포외 기질 당단백질로, 발생 중 중배엽-상피 상호작용 및 미분화 종양의 신생혈관 및 기질에서 발현됩니다 (Erickson and Bourdon 1989).
Cytotactin, Hexabrachion protein, J1, Myotendinous antigen (MI), Glioma mesenchymal extracellular matrix (GMEM) 등 다양한 이름으로 알려져 있습니다.
Tenascin 분자는 이황화 결합된 헥사머 형태이며, 발달 및 성장(정상 및 병리적)에 관련되어 있으며 정상 성인 조직에서는 제한적으로 분포합니다.
