Target Information
The DYNLRB1 gene belongs to the roadblock dynein light chain family. The encoded cytoplasmic protein binds intermediate chain proteins, interacts with transforming growth factor-beta, and regulates actin-modulating proteins. Upregulation of this gene is associated with hepatocellular carcinoma, suggesting involvement in tumor progression. Alternative splicing yields multiple transcript variants, and pseudogenes are found on chromosomes 12 and 18.
