The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
POTE8 (Prostate, ovary, testis-expressed protein on chromosome 8), also known as A26A1 (ANKRD26-like family A member 1) or POTEA (POTE ankyrin domain family, member A), is a 498 amino acid protein containing five ANK repeats. It is thought to participate in signaling events during reproductive development. POTE8 exists as two alternatively spliced isoforms encoded by a gene mapped to human chromosome 8, which contains approximately 146 million base pairs and over 800 genes. Chromosome 8 is associated with various diseases and malignancies including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, trisomy 8, Pfeiffer syndrome, congenital hypothyroidism, Waardenburg syndrome, and certain leukemias and lymphomas.
