Target Information
Vaspin은 주로 내장 백색 지방조직에서 발현되는 새로운 adipocytokine으로, Serpin 계열 특유의 구조적 특징(세 개의 β-시트, 아홉 개의 α-헬릭스, 중앙 루프)을 가집니다. Serpin 단백질은 serine-protease 억제제로서 혈액 응고, 섬유소 용해, 보체 활성화, 혈관 신생, 염증, 종양 억제 등 다양한 생물학적 과정에서 중요한 역할을 합니다.
Vaspin은 α1-antitrypsin과 40.2%의 서열 유사성을 가지며, 비만 및 당뇨 관련 대사 조절에 잠재적 임상적 활용 가능성이 제시되었습니다.
