Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
ZSCAN4 is involved in zygotic genome activation (ZGA), a critical transition from maternal to embryonic genetic control. It encodes a SCAN domain and four zinc finger domains, expressed in late 2-cell embryos and embryonic stem cells.
Loss-of-function studies show delayed progression from the 2-cell to 4-cell stage and impaired embryo development.
ZSCAN4 also contributes to telomere maintenance and genomic stability in embryonic stem cells, indicating its importance in maintaining pluripotency.
