Product Specific Information

Alexa Fluor dyes are among the most trusted fluorescent dyes available today. Invitrogen™ Alexa Fluor 488 dye is a bright, green-fluorescent dye ideally suited for the 488 nm laser line. It provides stable signal generation in imaging and flow cytometry, being pH-insensitive over a wide range.
High fluorescence quantum yield and photostability enable detection of low-abundance biological structures with high sensitivity. The dye can be attached to proteins at high molar ratios without significant self-quenching, resulting in brighter conjugates and more sensitive detection.
Typical labeling degree: 2–8 fluorophore molecules per IgG molecule (exact value indicated on certificate of analysis).

Usage Notes:

• Centrifuge conjugate solution briefly before use and use only the supernatant to remove aggregates.
• Recommended final concentration for most applications: 1–10 µg/mL.
• Product ships at room temperature.

Target Information

Anti-Chicken secondary antibodies are affinity-purified with well-characterized specificity for chicken immunoglobulins. They are useful for detection, sorting, or purification of target proteins.
Secondary antibodies increase versatility and sensitivity via signal amplification, as multiple secondary antibodies can bind to a single primary antibody.
Typically generated by immunizing host animals with pooled immunoglobulins from the target species and further purified or modified (e.g., immunoaffinity chromatography, fragmentation, label conjugation) for high specificity.
