Product Specific Information
The antibody should be reconstituted in 50 µL phosphate buffered saline (PBS: 137 mM NaCl, 7.5 mM Na₂HPO₄, 2.7 mM KCl, 1.5 mM KH₂PO₄, pH 7.4) before use. After reconstitution, aliquot and store at -20°C.
Target Information
SYN1 (Synapsin 1) is a member of the synapsin gene family encoding neuronal phosphoproteins that associate with the cytoplasmic surface of synaptic vesicles. These proteins are involved in synaptogenesis and modulation of neurotransmitter release, suggesting roles in neuropsychiatric diseases. Synapsin 1 regulates axonogenesis and synaptogenesis and serves as a substrate for multiple protein kinases. Mutations may be associated with X-linked neuronal degeneration disorders such as Rett syndrome. Alternative splicing generates multiple isoforms.
