Target Information
BAFF (B-cell activating factor) is a membrane-bound cytokine expressed by B cell lineage cells. The soluble form binds to receptors TNFRSF13B/TACI, TNFRSF17/BCMA, and TNFRSF13C/BAFFR, playing a key role in B cell activation, proliferation, and differentiation.
BAFF is also expressed by T lymphocytes, promoting T cell activation and survival. Isoforms with alternative splicing and glycosylation variants have been identified.
