Target Information
PKC (Protein Kinase C) 계열의 serine/threonine kinase는 세포 내 신호전달 경로에 의해 활성화됩니다. 인간에서는 최소 12가지의 PKC 폴리펩타이드가 확인되었으며, 이들은 구조, 조직 분포, 세포 내 위치, 작용 방식, 자극 반응, 기질 특이성에서 차이를 보입니다.
PKC α, βI, βII, γ는 Ca²⁺ 및 인지질 의존적 활성화를 보이는 전형적 PKC 계열에 속합니다. PKC는 다양한 단백질 기질을 인산화하며, 세포 신호전달 경로에 관여합니다. 또한 phorbol ester(종양 촉진제)의 주요 수용체로 작용합니다.
PRKCD (PKC delta)는 B 세포 신호전달, 세포 성장, 세포사멸, 분화 조절에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 인간 및 생쥐에서 동일 단백질을 암호화하는 여러 전사 변이가 보고되었습니다.
