Target Information
Signal-induced proliferation associated-like protein 2 (SIPA1L2) is a member of the SIPA1 family of RapGAPs. While little is known about SIPA1L2, deregulation of related SIPA1 proteins has been linked to myeloproliferative stem cell disorders in mice and increased metastases in human cancers. Based on homology among SIPA family members, SIPA1L2 is likely involved in embryo development and cell proliferation, potentially including oncogenesis.
