Target Information
Signal-induced proliferation associated-like protein 2 (SIPA1L2) is a member of the SIPA1 family of RapGAPs. Although the role of SIPA1L2 is not fully understood, deregulation of related proteins has been linked to myeloproliferative stem cell disorders in mice and increased metastasis in human cancers. SIPA1L1 and SIPA1L2 may play important roles in embryonic development and cell proliferation, potentially including oncogenesis.
