Target Information
EPHB2 is a receptor tyrosine kinase belonging to the ephrin receptor family. Members of the Eph family play key roles in various biological processes, including nervous system development, angiogenesis, and synapse formation and maturation.
Ephrins are categorized into ephrin-A (EFNA), which are GPI-anchored, and ephrin-B (EFNB), which are transmembrane proteins. Eph receptors are grouped based on extracellular domain similarity and ligand affinity for ephrin-A or ephrin-B. EphB4 binds to ephrin-B2 and is essential for vascular development.
