Target Information
Dolichyl-phosphate beta-glucosyltransferase (ALG5) belongs to the family of glycosyltransferases, specifically the hexosyltransferases. ALG5 is widely expressed in pancreas, placenta, liver, heart, brain, kidney, skeletal muscle, and lung. It catalyzes the reaction between UDP-glucose and dolichyl phosphate, producing dolichyl-phosphate-glucose and UDP.
