Product Specific Information

The 30-H12 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD90.2 (Thy-1.2), a GPI-linked membrane molecule expressed by mouse thymocytes, mature T cells, and neurons in CD90.2-expressing strains (BALB/c, CBA, C3H, C57BL/6, C58/J, SJL, etc.). Cells from CD90.1-expressing strains (PL, AKR) do not stain with 30-H12.
CD90 is involved in T cell adhesion and signal transduction regulation.

Target Information

CD90.2 (Thy-1) is a GPI-linked glycoprotein of the Immunoglobulin superfamily. It is expressed in murine T cells, thymocytes, neural cells, Kupffer’s cells, and fibroblasts. Thy-1 may play roles in cell-cell or cell-ligand interactions during synaptogenesis and other brain events.
CD90.2 is an 18 kDa plasma membrane antigen expressed by hematopoietic cells and neurons, highly expressed in connective tissue, fibroblast and stromal cell lines, and tumor endothelial cell lines. In mice, CD90.2 is expressed on all thymocytes and peripheral T lymphocytes.
