Target Information
RARA는 레티노산 수용체로서, all-trans 또는 9-cis 레티노산과 결합하여 다양한 생물학적 과정에서 유전자 발현을 조절합니다. RXR/RAR 이합체는 DR1–DR5로 알려진 5'-AGGTCA-3' 서열의 반복 구조에 결합합니다. 리간드가 없는 상태에서는 전사 억제 복합체와 결합하여 히스톤 탈아세틸화 및 전사 억제를 유도하며, 리간드 결합 시 전사 활성화 복합체로 교체되어 유전자 발현을 촉진합니다.
RARA는 생식세포 발달, 정자형성 초기 단계의 생존, 골격 성장 및 성장판 기능 유지에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 또한 KMT2E/MLL5를 포함한 크로마틴 복합체를 모집하여 리간드 의존적 유전자 발현을 조절하며, 레티노산 유도 과립구 형성을 매개합니다.
