Thermo Fisher Scientific Oncomine™ IGH FR1-J Assay, DNA
The Oncomine IGH FR1-J Assay is a targeted next-generation sequencing (NGS) assay designed for detection of somatic hypermutation (SHM) in the variable region of the immunoglobulin heavy chain of B-cell receptors.
SHM increases the affinity of the B-cell receptor for antigens after VDJ recombination and is frequently a region of interest in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) research.
Primers in this assay are specifically designed to target framework 1 (FR1) and joining gene (J) regions of the immunoglobulin heavy chain, producing an amplicon of approximately 300 bp.
When combined with Ion Reporter™ Software, users can easily analyze sequencing data and generate comprehensive reports quickly.

Application and Sample Compatibility
The kit provides reagents for library construction, including dNTPs.
Ion AmpliSeq™ libraries can be generated from DNA extracted from:
- Fresh or frozen tissue
- Bone marrow
- Whole blood
- Peripheral blood leukocytes
- PBMCs
- Sorted B cells
Requires as little as 50 ng of nucleic acid per pool.
