Target Information
STAT4는 다른 STAT 단백질의 보존된 영역을 기반으로 한 퇴화 프라이머를 사용하여 처음 확인되었습니다.
STAT4 단백질은 STAT1(52%) 및 STAT3(47%)과 가장 유사하며, Jak1 또는 Jak2에 의해 티로신 인산화될 수 있습니다.
STAT4는 호모다이머 및 이종다이머를 형성하며, 인산화된 STAT4는 IFN-γ 활성화 부위(GAS)에 결합할 수 있습니다.
최대 전사 활성에는 세린 인산화도 필요합니다. STAT4 발현은 흉선, 비장 및 고환에 제한적으로 나타납니다.
STAT4는 인터루킨 12(IL-12)에 의해 활성화되며, IL-12는 IFN-γ 유도 및 Th1 반응 발달에 필수적입니다.
STAT4 결핍 생쥐는 Th1 세포 발달이 저하되고 Th2 세포 발달이 증가하는 특징을 보입니다.
바이러스 감염 시 IFN-α/β에 의한 STAT4 활성화가 IFN-γ 생성에 필요함이 보고되었습니다.
