Target Information
PKM2 (Pyruvate kinase M2) catalyzes the conversion of phosphoenolpyruvate to pyruvate and ATP. It interacts with thyroid hormone, mediating metabolic effects, and binds to Opa protein, suggesting a role in bacterial pathogenesis. Three alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding two distinct isoforms have been reported.
