Mouse anti-Human TLR7 antibody, clone 4F4 recognizes human TLR7 (toll-like receptor 7), a 121 kDa type I transmembrane protein belonging to the toll-like receptor (TLR) family.
Target Information
TLR7 is a highly conserved membrane protein belonging to the Toll-like receptor (TLR) family, containing 27 LRR (leucine-rich) repeats and a TIR domain. It plays a fundamental role in pathogen recognition and activation of innate immunity.
TLR7 is activated by single-stranded RNA viruses such as influenza and vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV). It is predominantly expressed in lung, placenta, and spleen, and is located near TLR8.
TLR7 signals via MyD88 and TRAF6, leading to NF-κB activation, cytokine secretion, and inflammatory response. It recognizes pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) and mediates cytokine production necessary for effective immunity.
