Product Specific Information
Description:
Monoclonal antibody 1A8-Ly6g reacts with mouse Ly-6G (Gr-1), a 25-kDa GPI protein expressed exclusively by neutrophils. It plays a role in neutrophil infiltration, recruitment, and migration, and associates with B2 integrins CD11a and CD11b. The ligand for Ly-6G remains unknown.
Unlike RB6-8C5, this clone binds only to Ly-6G on neutrophils and has been used for neutrophil depletion with reported antagonist activity.

Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse bone marrow cells. Recommended ≤0.125 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Optimize by titration for best performance.
Excitation/Emission:
488–561 nm / 578 nm
Laser: Blue, Green, Yellow-Green
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
Ly6G (Lymphocyte antigen 6 complex locus G6D):
A component of the myeloid differentiation antigen Gr-1 (with Ly6C), ~21–25 kDa protein expressed by myeloid-derived cells in bone marrow. Marker for detection of neutrophils, monocytes, and granulocytes. Expression correlates with granulocyte differentiation and maturation. Involved in anti-tumor response and local immune regulation.
