Target Information
CPA1 (Carboxypeptidase A1) is a 419 amino acid secreted monomeric protein highly expressed in pancreatic tissue. It functions as a zinc-dependent pancreatic exopeptidase, catalyzing the release of C-terminal amino acids from proteins and contributing to protein digestion. CPA1 may also regulate zymogen activation pathways. Abnormal CPA1 levels are associated with pancreatic cancer, implicating roles in tumor progression or suppression.
