Product Specific Information
The M1/70 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD11b (integrin alphaM, 165–170 kDa). CD11b forms a heterodimer with CD18 (Mac-1, αMβ2 integrin) and binds CD54 (ICAM-1), C3bi, and fibrinogen.
Mac-1 is expressed on macrophages, NK cells, granulocytes, activated lymphocytes, and peritoneal B-1 cells. M1/70 also cross-reacts with human CD11b, detecting this antigen on monocytes, granulocytes, and NK subsets.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Tested on mouse bone marrow cells at ≤ 0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.
Optimize antibody dilution empirically for best performance.
Fluorochrome Info: Brilliant Violet™ 786 (BV786) emits at 786 nm, excited by 405 nm laser. Ensure cytometer compatibility.

Target Information
CD11b (integrin alpha-M, ITGAM) is a 165 kDa adhesion molecule forming a heterodimer with CD18 (integrin beta-2), known as Mac-1 or CR3.
Expressed on monocytes/macrophages, granulocytes, activated lymphocytes, NK cells, dendritic cells, and microglia.
Functions as a receptor for ICAM-1/2/4, CD14, CD50, CD23, heparin, iC3b, fibrinogen, and Factor X, mediating cell adhesion and immune interactions.
Commonly used as a microglial marker in nervous tissue. Expression increases during monocyte maturation and varies by tissue.
Diseases associated with CD11b dysfunction include systemic lupus erythematosus 6 and ITGAM-related SLE susceptibility.
