Target Information
TAGLN (SM22 Alpha) is an actin cross-linking and gelling protein found in fibroblasts and smooth muscle. Its expression is down-regulated in many cell lines and may serve as an early and sensitive marker for cellular transformation. The functional role of this protein remains under investigation.
