Product Specific Information
The 6H2 antibody reacts with the native form of mouse, human, and rat cytochrome C.
Applications Reported:
Used for intracellular flow cytometric analysis and immunoprecipitation. (Fluorochrome-conjugated 6H2 is recommended for intracellular flow cytometry.)
Applications Tested:
Validated by intracellular flow cytometric analysis. Optimal performance achieved by careful titration for each assay.
Purity: Greater than 90%, determined by SDS-PAGE.
Aggregation: Less than 10%, determined by HPLC.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
Cytochrome C is an electron transport protein located in the mitochondrial intermembrane space, essential for oxidative phosphorylation and ATP production.
Release of cytochrome C into the cytosol occurs upon apoptotic stimuli, where it binds to apoptotic protease activating factor, triggering activation of procaspase-9 and subsequently caspase-3—key steps in apoptosis execution.
For Research Use Only.
Not for use in diagnostic procedures or resale without authorization.
