Specificity:
This antibody recognizes cytokeratin-7. Cytokeratins are a subfamily of intermediate filament proteins, but this antibody does not recognize other intermediate filament proteins.
It reacts with proteins found in most ductal, glandular, transitional, and biliary duct epithelial cells.
Target Information
Cytokeratin 7 blocks interferon-dependent interphase and stimulates DNA synthesis in cells. It is involved in the translational regulation of the human papillomavirus type 16 E7 mRNA (HPV16 E7).
