Target Information
The CXCL5 protein is an inflammatory chemokine in the CXC chemokine family. It is produced concurrently with interleukin-8 (IL8) in response to stimulation by interleukin-1 (IL1) or tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNFA). CXCL5 functions as a potent chemotaxin involved in neutrophil activation.
